See all details below. **REPOST** @svartrecords Ignite’s A Place Called Home reissued on vinyl in March 2025 via Svart Records Svart Records is proud to reissue the Californian melodic hardcore band Ignite’s album A Place Called Home. Previously released on vinyl only on its original release date in 2000 on TVT Records, A Place Called Home will finally be available on wax again on March 21st, 2025. Formed in Orange County in 1993, Ignite’s sound is hard to pin down. Their music contains elements of punk, hardcore, alternative, and even heavy metal. Their 30-year career has produced several classic albums with A Place Called Home being their commercial breakthrough album, combining the spirit and muscle of hardcore and the catchy tunes of west coast punk rock. Sixteen songs loaded with great hooks, compelling, socially conscious lyrics, and the heaviness that hard music fans love. The band’s bassist and founding member Brett Rasmussen comments the reissue: ”When I found out that the guys at Svart Records were licensing A Place Called Home for a vinyl reissue I was beyond stoked. This album will finally be available again, after being out of press for so long, and this time there will be colored vinyl! The last show of the tour was at Bautz Festival last night. The rain started pounding 10minutes into our set and didn’t let up. Thunder and lighting…and we lasted 35 minutes until the stage power went out. Hats off to the “John Wayne Airport Arts Programs” for the amazing art installation at SNA Airport here in Orange County last month. We were humbled that IGNITE was featured in the exhibit along with so many legendary bands. That OC Sound is an exhibition celebrating Orange County’s rich musical legacy. Featuring displays dedicated to famous musicians and bands, as well as two of the world’s most prominent musical instrument manufacturers, this exhibit is a small glimpse of the iconic sounds that originated in this region. Forty-eight musical talents, including bands and solo artists, that got their start in Orange County – or at least have one member from the area – are featured in a large two-case display within the exhibition. The playful grid of faux album covers, a nod to the iconic studded belt, highlights Orange County as a genuine hub for punk and metal. Visitors will be delighted as they explore the exhibit and discover cherished favorites, including James Taylor, Cold War Kids, Ignite, Saosin, Thrice, Adolescents, Atreyu, Social Distortion, The Vandals, Offspring, The Aquabats and, of course, No Doubt. @coldwarkids @saosinofficial @thrice @theadolescentsusa @atreyuofficial @socialdistortion @vandalsofficial @offspring @theaquabats @nodoubt

@eastercross.festival Spring 2024 Repost: Pünktlich zum Fasnetsauftakt drehen wir auch ein bisschen am Rad. Weil wir uns freuen wie der Osterhas‘, dass wir für einen Großteil des Line-Up jetzt die Verkleidung fallen lassen. Und da verbirgt sich einiges in Sachen „Masse und Klasse“ hinter dem Vorhang der Neckarhalle: Mit insgesamt 17 Bands geben sich so viele Acts das Mikro auf der Bühne in die Hand wie noch nie. @benediction_band, @annisokay, @mantarband, @callejon, @igniteband, @dustbolt_official, @avianaswe, @crownmagnetar und die Lokalmatadoren von @avralizemusic werden das eine oder andere metallische Brett bohren – und da kommen noch einige andere musikalische Leckerbissen dazu. Den ganzen Ohrenschmaus gibt es jetzt noch maximal bis 1.12. zum Early Bird-Preis, danach läuft der Verkauf zu den regulären VVK-Preisen. Und weil zu schönen Bands auch ein schöner Auftritt gehört, haben wir gleich noch unserer Homepage ein neues Gewand verpasst.
